20-016.A-C 'Wash Your Hands'

digital photography

A short series of digital photographs that respond to the necessity of washing hands during the Covid-19 pandemic. Placing white stone replicas of my hands solitary in a path of naturally running water as a means of returning to nature and removing the urgency of cleanliness during amidst the pandemic. Instead placing the hands in water is a means of embracing dirt, to let the silt and sand rub into the pure white surface, knowing that it is natural and freeing in a time of uncertainty.
